WKSE-FM morning personality Janet Snyder sympathizes with all the people whose lives and plans have been disrupted by the coronavirus.
She can relate. She is one of them.
Snyder was scheduled to be married to wealthy New England businessman Jeff Bailly at a resort in Naples, Fla. on Saturday, March 28.
But her wedding plans on a beach before family and friends “with some of the best music ever” have been disrupted because of the coronavirus that is impacting weddings across the country.
“We are getting married; the event is canceled,” said Snyder in a telephone interview. “My goal is to get married on the date we planned to.”
She now hopes to get married in Boston on the wedding date and later have a party when parties with more than 10 or 25 people are allowed.

“I feel an obligation now to do double the fun,” said Snyder of her eventual party.
Since late in 2019, Snyder has been splitting her time broadcasting her show between Buffalo and Boston, where Bailly is the chairman of the board and chief executive officer of UFP Technologies Inc.
She and Bailly met through a mutual friend who played matchmaker.
“He texted me, 'you guys need to meet each other.' ”
They were engaged over the Christmas holidays in 2018.
“It was the most romantic thing in the entire world,” said Snyder.
She explained she returned to Buffalo to have her annual Christmas Eve celebration with her family and thought Bailly was going to celebrate with his family in New England.
“Jeff rented a plane on Christmas Eve and brought his kids,” said Snyder, adding he was unable to get a commercial flight. “He asked me to marry him in front of my entire family. He didn’t just ask me to marry me. He asked my kids, ‘will you marry us?’ It was crazy special.”
Snyder and Bailly each have three children from previous marriages.
“We are the Brady Bunch,” said Snyder. “Even though the kids are older, I feel that way.”
Snyder’s fans would want to know that she plans to continue on her morning show.
“I will have to keep him in the style he is accustomed to,” she cracked before turning serious. “He loves what I do and supports it 100 percent.”
